Movie Magic Screenwriter supports the Mac OS X and Windows operating systems. Cross-Platform Documents can be used on (and exchanged between) Windows and Mac platforms. Text-to-Speech Documents can be read back to the user using the pre-defined voices in the speech engine speed and pitch of the voices can be adjusted. SmartCheck Checks for formatting errors, such as extra blank spaces, leading spaces, etc., against industry standard formatting. This feature also includes Text and Voice chat. iPartner This feature allows two users of Movie Magic Screenwriter to connect to each other to work together, in real-time, on a document. Script Tagging Snippets of words/phrases can be tagged into production categories for breakdown reports and exporting to EP Scheduling (Movie Magic Scheduling). Production Revision Tracking Allows users to lock scripts in order to keep track of exact changes using Auto-revision Marks, Revision Draft colors, A-pages and A-scenes. Export documents to many file formats including word processors and Adobe Acrobat PDF. Import/Export Import documents written in standard word processors ( Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, etc.) and other writing software programs. This is done mainly via the Tab and Enter/Return keys. The program is designed to automate the formatting of Action, Character Name, Dialog and other elements associated with writing screenplays using Command line completion.
